21/03/2012 18:37

The Solomon Islands Medical Students Association (SIMSA) at Fiji School of Medicine held its welcome function at Perking Restaurant in Suva last weekend (Saturday, 17th March 2012) welcoming the year ones to SIMSA family and to the Fiji School of Medicine (FSMed).

Speaking during the function, the SIMSA present Mr. Junior Gane Simbe congratulates the new ones for making it to FSMed this year and welcomes them to be part of SIMSA family.

This year the Solomon Islands intake to FSMed were quite increase as compared to the previous year which took the number to more than thirty new intakes so far. However, the president urges everyone to work together and help each other in the academic, social, spiritual etc...issues and problems. “I want to encourage each and everyone to work together towards achieving the goal we are here for, and especially for the year ones don’t hesitate to seek help from your senior” said by Simbe (SIMSA President).

Everybody really enjoys the program and SIMSA Online manages to talk to a year one student Mr. Clement Ofai.

Clement Ofai. “I really enjoy the program especially the food, it was so delicious and it’s my first time to be in such place like this. One thing I saw it’s really interesting and encourages me a lot was that, the bond between us SIMSA was so strong as a family and I am feel at home”.

The Program was ended successfully and students headed back into the normal academic schedules.
